shameless selfie showing off the new hair
Hey lovelies,
So I mentioned in my last blog post about the new training program I was planning on starting and honestly after much procrastination, I looked at myself in the mirror clad in Boux Avenue earlier today but forget sexy I didn't even feel pretty! Honestly I felt like such a *insert negative word* I know like everyone's different and we should embrace all figures but this isn't me therefore I really can't come to terms with it, I've just literally let myself go so much and so I thought enough was enough. It was time to take some drastic actions.
From tomorrow on wards so that is December the 1st, I'm going to start Kayla Itsines 12 weeks Bikini Body Guide (BBG). Now no way in hell is this going to be easy, in fact it'll be frickking torture but totes worth it t the end of those 12 weeks. Now seeing as she's racked up millions of followers on her ig I'm going to go out on a limb and assume that most if not all of you reading this have heard of her or at the very least... her workouts! So BBG or potential BBG girls if y'all are planning on doing this, then let me know! It'll be fun to do together maybe even motivate one another after all isn't that what we're all here for? Moral support?
Now If you're reading this and not having a clue of what I'm babbling on about then go check out Kayla's IG page >> @Kayla_itsines << trust me its totes a life changer.

P.s. If any of you are intrigued in the dress I'm wearing its from H&M and its a dark gray/black shade and skater style.
Seriously it's supes stunning!

So, I love you all and stay mesmerizing!

New Hairstyle and November shenanigans

New haircut and November shenanigans

Hey lovelies!

So I thought, what better way to welcome a new season than with a new and somewhat appropriate hairstyle! Curls are totes in this winter there's just something festive about it and lets be honest, a fringe can sort out any bad hair day.
The picture on the top left just highlights the way you can just throw up your hair in a messy bun and still make it look like you spent time on it. (don't we all love time saving cheats?)

Usually I'm conflicted about new hair cuts and sometimes I like it, other times I hate it and I'm like I want my old hair back!!! (insert crying face) but this time it was instant love! honestly, I just looked in the mirror after that haircut and thought YES! this is gawj!
This is my natural hair colour but a dye shade that is similar to this is 'mahogany' a reddish brunette tone.

So, how quickly has this fall gone by? Christmas is totes upon us already (in exactly one month it'll be Christmas eve!) **retarded/excited happy dance** but anyway, this November has been full of ups and downs for me...
there's been college work, assignments and deadlines (oh joy) on  top of that, having to turn out weekly radio shows; I have to admit, although I'm not used to hearing my voice on air, I sound pretty damn good!
Of course, one of the biggest issues with this coldness after the hot summer months is comfort eating!! seriously, the amount of food I've practically hoovered this month is ridiculous! But I thought enough is enough and it was time to take some drastic actions. If you want to know more about this drastic action then keep an eye out for my next blog where I'll go into more detail about it!

Also if you're wondering, the shade of nail varnish I'm wearing is 'amethyst' by Mavala and I am completely in love with it! its supes beauts and it reminds me of red wine which is totes christmassy and well just 100% glam really.

So, I love you all and stay mesmerizing!

Jerome Alexander Magic Minerals makeup review

Jerome Alexander Magic Minerals (all in one powder, concealer and foundation
blending sponge, powder brush and mascara)
Rate: 2/5 (would not personally recommend to everyone)

So this latest cosmetic sensation had everyone talking and I took the bullet for y'all by buying it and trying it out. At £11.00 including p&p it really wasn't expensive especially after claiming to be an all-in-one foundation, concealer and powder. I mean my everyday foundation (Boots No 7 stay perfect) costs £14.99. I must admit I was pretty excited to see how 'magical' this product really is but was thoroughly disappointed after applying it.

Firstly, the coverage was pretty sheer and light. The only way to achieve a more darker and decent coverage was to literally cake this powder product on. As I have combination/oily skin, I literally felt the powder disintegrate on my skin and constantly had to touch up. I personally feel that this wouldn't be ideal for quite dry skin either as being in the form of a powder, it would be quite flaky and stick to the dry patches. However, if you still want to give it a go I would definitely exfoliate, moisturize and prime your face properly before application.

Another issue I had with this cosmetic product was that their claim of it suiting "most skin tone" is limited to different shades of fair skin only. Im a medium skin tone and felt that the powder gave my face a paler almost grayish and ghostly complexion (guess I know how to do my make-up next Halloween) which I had to cover with a bronzer to restore some normality to my skin.

Overall totes not happy and I definitely would only recommend this to those of you with a 'normal' skin tone and fair complexion as it really wouldn't suit anyone else.

xoxo
